Talk to us about your blood pressure readings
Your reading is made up of 2 numbers.
Enter the highest number 1st. This is the highest level your blood pressure reaches when your heart beats (systolic).
The 2nd number is the lowest level your blood pressure reaches when your heart relaxes between beats (diastolic).
Use a reading from a test done by a health care professional or a home test.

NHS Blood Pressure @home
This information is for patients who have been asked to visit this page by their surgery regarding BP@Home.
Recent research during the Covid epidemic has found that blood pressure (BP) testing at home has been very effective in the diagnosis of hypertension (high blood pressure). High blood pressure can be the cause of serious incidents such as heart attack, stroke and sometimes even sudden death.
We would ask that you take your BP reading 2 x per day for 7 days and to keep a diary, which one of our clinicians will then review. To request a BP diary and to discuss whether you have access to a recommended home BP machine, or will need to borrow one, please call us at the surgery. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
