Devizes Health Centre

Devizes Health Centre is a healthcare facility for the 21st century and is one of the country’s very first integrated care centres. The building will be a benchmark for which all future NHS construction projects are measured against, due to its prominent use of environmentally friendly green technology. Several healthcare organisations, as well as our Primary Care Network of four GP practices (Lansdowne, St James, Southbroom and Market Lavington Surgeries) are coming together to provide a range of health services from the building.

The Devizes Primary Care Network team, made up of colleagues from the four surgeries, will have 5 rooms plus 2 blood test rooms available to use at the new centre. The team will provide same day care and will be on hand to care for patients who need a GP appointment quickly. This will be for those of you experiencing a sudden illness. So that our surgeries can speak with and see as many people as they possibly can, they will operate the “phone first” system for their newly unwell patients. This means that people who need to be seen face to face, quickly, will be asked by the clinician who is speaking to them on the phone, to come into the new building. You will continue to book your appointment in the same way i.e. please contact your usual surgery if you need an appointment.

Patients travelling in their own vehicle are welcome to use the large on-site car park.

Patients arriving by public transport are advised to use the local 1A bus service, which stops outside Green Lane Hospital, just across the road.
