Immunisations

Children need several immunisations starting at 2 months of age. These prevent potentially serious diseases – polio, tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, HiB meningitis, meningitis C, measles, mumps and rubella, pneumococcal and rotavirus. Our nurses hold fortnightly clinics for this. You will be invited by letter for your child’s appointment. Please try very hard to keep the appointment date that you have been allocated as this will have been planned so that your child receives their immunisations in a timely manner and according to Department of Health safety guidelines. See news section for details of the Department of Health Immunisation Campaigns.
