Maternity and antenatal care

Our community midwifery team, based in Chippenham would like to hear from you as soon as you know that you are pregnant. Please contact them directly on 01249 456467 between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 pm to arrange your booking appointment. You will need to quote your NHS number when you make your appointment.

Midwife antenatal clinics take place at Devizes Hospital and Chippenham Hospital. You can opt to give birth at Chippenham, Trowbridge or Frome Midwife-led Birthing Centres; in hospital at Salisbury, Swindon or Bath Consultant Units; or at home. Your decision will be based on your preferences and your health situation; the midwife will discuss these options with you during the course of your care. All pregnant women will be invited for a Pertussis (Whooping Cough) vaccination after their 28th week of pregnancy and for a flu vaccination during the flu season. Please contact reception to organise these vaccinations.
