The Non-Specific Symptoms (NSS) clinic runs every week from the Devizes Health Centre and is led by our GPs. If you've been referred to this clinic it may be because you have symptoms that could be suggestive of a cancer somewhere, but don't suggest a particular site, such as a lung or bowel tumour. If you are referred, then you will already have had a series of tests done by your GP, to include blood and stool tests, and a chest x-ray, along with a physical examination. When you speak to our NSS clinic GP, s/he will ask a series of questions, about your symptoms and general health, to establish the next best steps, to identify what might be going on. In most cases, s/he may refer you to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for an urgent CT scan to look for any underlying cancer. Our GP will follow you up in the NSS clinic once the results are available to discuss the next steps. These appointments can be either telephone or face to face depending on your preference.
