Spring booster jabs

It’s important that as many people as possible come forward for a spring booster jab, and primary care colleagues are being asked to signpost eligible patients to local vaccination clinics.

Colleagues are also kindly requested to make it known to patients that invites for the spring booster jab will not be made, and that vaccination appointments need to be booked by the individual.

People aged 75 and over, as well as care home residents and those aged 12 and over with a weakened immune system, are eligible for the second booster jab.

These vaccines are currently being given out at local vaccination centres, with those eligible encouraged to have the jab approximately six months after the date of their first booster.

Appointments can be booked online at www.nhs.uk or over the phone by calling 119.
